Sarah Kay and Phil Kaye. Dear lord, these two are the definition of a dynamic duo.
I spent last night at the Parish for Poetry Night, and quite honestly, I’m still reeling from all of the talent I witnessed. There’s something incredible about the fact that these performances are filled with so much raw emotion that they can make you laugh or cry or rethink everything you thought to be true—or do all three at the same time.
And so, I’ve spent the larger part of my day just watching all this slam poetry on Youtube and I have yet to get tired of it. It always leaves me choked up, but I love it. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on all of this for so long. I’ve heard Anis Mojgani and Taylor Mali but that was the extent of my experience with slam poetry; I never really delved into it that deeply. My mistake. These people are making magic.
I’ve always loved books, but I think last night, I fell in love with words.

Hello! It’s my birthday! So I have drawn this…It’s World of warcraft’s tauren capitol city thunderbluff, but in the style of a vintage rail poster. I really like the visuals and design elements of vintage rail posters and fancied giving it a go.
